This heavenly rainbow spectrum, botanical leaf jewel is made with layers of transparent iridescent mirrored Dichroic art glass and real tree leaves that I collect from the wilds of the Alaskan outdoors. In this product the glass is in a rainbow color shifting with a refracted multiple color metallic flash. Hangs with a double bail to ensure that the chain clasp stays at the back!

The leaf has been through an extremely time consuming process of a heated acid treatment to "skeletonize" it and sealed forever inside the layers of beautiful glass. The top layer of the leaf jewel is a slightly domed crystal clear glass for the sake of form and a little of the fun magnification highlighting the lovely intricate botanical detail of the leaf inside. The transparent glass lets more light in through the back of the jewel to further enhance the full luminescence and color with plays of light while you are wearing it.

The photos are all of the same piece to give you an idea of the beautiful spectrum of color and light display. This necklace is a movie star. It hangs on a super strong, 2 mm solid sterling silver rolo chain of 16 inches. Just add a note in your order if you would like an extra extender for a little more length.

This has been created using the eco friendly, totally lead free Tiffany style soldering method similar to that used in our drinking water systems. The solder I use is made of a combination of simple and safe tin and silver. The size of the leaf jewel is 18mm wide.

The pendant is waterproof and can be worn during everyday activities, just avoid submerging for long periods it while swimming or cleaning. Safe cleaning can be done with mild detergents or a light wax and a soft cloth to dry. Be aware that glass, just like your other semi precious stones can scratch so avoid hard scratch hazards at all cost:)
